Dr. Loren Toussaint, a professor of psychology at Luther College, leads the project. His extensive research on virtues, including forgiveness, and their impact on health and well-being informs our approach. Dr. Toussaint advocates for “everyday forgiveness” to build resilience and reduce stress across various contexts.
Dr. Colwick Wilson is an esteemed academic leader and visionary in the field of higher education. As the President of the University of the Southern Caribbean (USC), he plays a pivotal role in shaping the institution’s mission, values, and strategic direction.
Dr. Reid is a consultant psychiatrist and professor of Public Health Psychiatry at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago. An astute psychiatrist and researcher, Professor Reid is also a research associate at the Institute for Gender and Development Studies at the UWI and Director of the Caribbean Institute on Addictive Disorders.
Jon R. Webb, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and an associate professor in the Department of Community, Family, and Addiction Sciences at Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, Texas, USA. His research interests are focused on the association of spirituality with health, including the role of forgiveness in promoting better outcomes in addiction recovery and suicidal behavior.
Dr. Worthington Jr. is a licensed clinical psychologist and Professor of Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University. His research interests include forgiveness and other virtues, religion and spirituality in clinical practice, and the hope-focused approach to counseling couples.
Dr. Williams is the Florence Sprague Norman and Laura Smart Norman Professor of Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health, as well as a professor of African and African American Studies and of Sociology at Harvard University.
Akeisha Alexis-St Hilaire is an adjunct lecturer in Applied Statistical Analysis at the University of the Southern Caribbean, Maracas, Trinidad. She has conducted research in Trinidad and Tobago on various topics related to business and social research.
Dr. Amanda K. Thomas is a theoretical and applied Research Methodologist and Research Assistant Professor in the Office of Research and Innovation at the University of the Southern Caribbean. Dr. Thomas is the recipient of several institutional research awards for her work. Her research interests include transformative educational praxis and interdisciplinary qualitative, quantitative, mixed and evaluation research designs.
